TMJ

People who clench or grind their teeth often develop problems which include facial pain, neck pain, chronic headache, breaking of teeth and complex dental work and more. Temporomandibular joint dysfunction is the umbrella phrase that encompasses many of these conditions. In the past, we have treated these problems with bite adjustments, splints, night guards and other methods. Botox treatment to relax hyperactive muscles is the latest addition to our toolkit. First used more than 30 years ago to treat eyeball misalignment, Botox treatment has a proven record of safety and effectiveness.

If you have TMJ problems and traditional treatment methods have not given you good results, ask us about Botox. Many dental plans cover such treatment, at least partially.
